The Top 10 Outdoor Clothing Brands To Sell On eBay
Outdoor clothing is one of the most underappreciated items that we commonly find in thrift stores. Most people breeze through the coat section looking for jackets from The North Face and move on. However, if you're looking to sell outdoor brands on eBay, they are many other brands which are just as common (if not more so) and sell for much more! If you're not the outdoorsy type, you may be surprised to find that people pay just as much for outdoorsy clothing and high fashion clothing. $500 coats and $100 pairs of shoes are not uncommon finds for us in thrift stores. So keep you eyes open as we share 10 of the top brands we've had luck with!
The North Face
The North Face is one of the most well known brand for aspiring eBay thrifters. They've been around for many years and have created hundreds of different articles of clothing during that time. Pretty much everything from The North Face is valuable from button downs, to shoes, to coats. The most valuable articles are waterproof shells and any goose down articles. Don't be afraid to pick up items that aren't stained or have small holes as they still sell!
Harder to find than The North Face, Patagonia brand items are typically more valuable as well. They have a more dedicated (less main stream) following and so you are able to demand a higher price for their items. Look for fleece jackets with unusual print patterns (especially Aztec).
In all the time we've been thrifting, we've found only half a dozen clothing articles from ARC'TERYX. They were enough to make us hundreds of dollars however! As it is a very high end and expensive brand, we have had the most luck finding t-shirts and the odd bag from the. We once found an older ARC'TERYX coat with the main zipper broken and the two pocket zipper pulls missing and still sold it for over $50! They often make clothing in muted colors so you need to be checking tags to find this brand.
We like to think of Napapijri Geographic as the European version of The North Face. They originally produced casual wear and high quality bags but have since branched out into all types of outdoor clothing. The pullover above is by far the most common article of their clothing to be found in thrift stores.
Columbia is one of the most commonly found brands in thrift stores...as such it is also one of the least valuable. We never pick up Columbia fleece jackets or shirts. Instead we hold out for heavy jackets/coats, especially waterproof ones. If you see anything from Columbia with a specific model name or type of fabric be sure to grab it!
